In this course, students will learn not only about mass media, propaganda, public opinion, and mind management. They will also learn how the mass media can be employed to manipulate populations to further the power elite‚Äôs agenda in society. This course is designed to provide students with an intimate knowledge of the theories and ethical standards governing the overall practice of propaganda public opinion and mind management in a technological-driven global system. The content of the course will challenge students to think critically about the involvement of propaganda, public opinion, and mind management as social issues in advancing the social, political, and economic strata. At the end of this course, students will be familiar with the course content and meet their expectations through classroom activities/discussions, class projects/exercises, examinations/writing assignments, and class presentations.
