This course teaches

(a)  safety in chemistry laboratory.

(b)  Quantitative analysis:

i)                detection of anions; Cl^- , Br^- , I^- , CO₃^2–, HCO₃^–, SO₄^2– , SO₃^2– , NO₃^2– 

ii)              detection of cations groups 1-6.

(c)  Volumetric analysis:

      i)          weighing.

      ii)         Preparation of standard solutions.

iii)            pH scale and choice of indicator.

iv)             Acid base titration
