Research
as a scientific approach is a laid down procedure or systematic way of
gathering and analyzing information in order to arrive at objective conclusion.
As a scientific approach, research involves
the use of objective or unbiased observation to form and test assumptions.
Every discipline which considers research a scientific approach finds research
attractive because it is an inevitable useful tool for gathering accurate
answers to test research questions or hypotheses. Thus, this course will expose students to the basic concepts in scientific research with emphasis on quantitative and qualitative research methods.
