At the end of this course, the students should be able to;
Understand the waves characteristics, distinguish between mechanical and electromagnetic waves, transverse and longitudinal waves, state the superposition principle, solve calculations under waves and derive the wave equation. Define Doppler effect and solve related problems. State the Hygiene’s principle, define interference and diffraction and solve related problems. Understand why the sky is blue and what forms rainbow. Differentiate between a lens, mirror and prism. Using both ray diagram and the mirror and lens formula in solving related problems.- Lecturer : onuorah loretta
