 Course Description

  Citizenship Education (GST 223) is designed to equip students with knowledge about their rights, responsibilities and the political, economic and social structures of their country. The course emphasizes national values, democratic principles and governance and the roles of citizens in nation building.

 Learning outcomes

     By the end of the course, students should be able to :

1.         Understand the concept, principles and importance of citizenship education

2.         Explain the rights, duties and obligations of citizens

3.         Analyze the structure and functions of government and democratic institutions.
