Course Description:
This course introduces students to the basic principles, theories, and practices of guidance and counselling in educational settings. It emphasizes the role of counselling in student development, problem-solving, and decision-making. It explores the types, techniques, and relevance of guidance services in fostering holistic educational outcomes.

At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Explain the concepts of guidance and counselling and differentiate between the two.
2. Identify and discuss various types of guidance and counselling services.
3. Demonstrate understanding of major counselling theories and their application in schools.
4. Describe the roles and responsibilities of school counsellors.
5. Apply guidance and counselling techniques in resolving academic, vocational, and personal-social problems among learners.
6. Understand ethical issues and professional standards in counselling practice.
