The law of Tort is a core law course required for the award of the undergraduate law degree. The course entails a study of various personal and property interests protected under civil law for which remedies for breach are provided by law. The first semester tort course introduces this aspect of law, its history, general principles and remedies, and specific torts such as Trespass and Negligence.
The course will be delivered in modules through lectures, student presentations and tutorials. Course assessment will consist of class attendance, assignments, class work, student presentations, mid-semester exam and end of semester examination.
