This course seeks to prepare students for the practice of energy law, not in the narrower economic context, but with a fuller sense of responsibility for the environment and provision of affordable modern energy for all.

As a specialty, energy law offers a challenging and productive opportunity for lawyers. Some students will want to follow up with more specialized courses in topics such as oil and gas law, mining law, natural resources law, international energy transactions, international environmental law, electricity law and renewable energy law.
