The course is therefore designed to adequately expose graduate economic teachers of GOUNI to various socio-economic
institutions (Central Bank of Nigeria, Commercial banks, micro-finance banks, insurance companies, and investment houses) in Nigeria, the activities of the institutions, and their
significance to national socio-economic developments. The importance of the course lies in the
awareness to develop a sustainable saving and investment culture in appropriate
institutions and in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) of poverty
reduction, hunger, and sustainable communities.
