2. To compare traditional medicine with modern medicine, pointing out their advantages and disadvantages.
3. To learn how chemical structures influence drug activities.
4. To show how a modification of the structure of a drug can affect its activity.
5. To learn how to synthesize the active components & formulate them as finished products.
6. To study the various classes of drugs and their structure–activity relationships.
7. To learn the steps to be taken in the discovery of a new drug.
